going wireless

My Blackberry is my life. It is basically a laptop in the palm of your hand. I put my email on my door hangars, I get twice as many emails as I do calls so right away I have most customers email address. I have a template of my estimate and service invoice saved on my Blackberry. I give the customer a verbal quote then send them an email of the written(typed) estimate right from the driveway. Same with the invoice, so no need for the printer or paper. Blackberry is lush. The new Blackberry Pearl has an optional broadband device. It's nearly as fast as DSL in certain areas.

Even if you are in an area that is not covered by Blackberry's Edge browser, the Blackberry has sooooo many more functions and features than a regular phone. The interface is easily digestable and can be fully intergrated with your PC.

So many websites are PDA friendly now anyway, many more are converting.

If not a BlackBerry, look into some sort of PDA, I have heard great things about the Blackjack, I have heard mixed feelings about the iPhone, and nothing but bad things about the Q.

just my .02

sounds like the way to go, sometime in the future I would like to ask you more about it.

I have to laptop. I actually have been talking about getting a small hp printer in the truck. I havent broke down and got one yet. Let me know how it looks and goes when you get it setup

I went and looked at the CrackBerrys today....they are sweet. Everything I want right there in a phone. I wasn't available for an upgrade yet on my plan so I'm just gonna look for a refurbed one from AT&T online. It was the Curve 8 something

You'll love it ant. I just upgraded to the Curve.....was $99. I haven't even begun to use all the features, and it is already priceless.
