Have you ever seen roof mix do this to paint?

It is a non colorfast tint. The paint is actually OK. It is the tint reacting with an oxidizer. It is a faulty paint tint. Browns will turn green and blues will turn brown. It is a chemical reaction found in these two tints.

Besides a test spot is there anyway to protect yourself from having this happen?

When I started cleaning the building I started on the part if the building that happened to not change colors. All of the building didn't turn green, just 3/4 of it. The rest of the building changed so gradually that we didn't know what happened until we had soft washed the entire building.

I've had a blue grey house turn pink when my roof mix hit it. Luck has it that the guy was having it painted after the roof was clean. Now if i bid a house that color I test a small area behind a shrub or other out of site area.

AC, when you say the paint is actually ok, do you mean there is something I can do to fix this without having to paint the building? Someone mentioned to me that I should try 1 part muratic acid 3 parts water and some lemon joy on a small test area and rinse a few moments after. The idea is that the acid will counteract the reaction caused by the bleach. I personally don't think it will work

It happened to me last year on some trim. All you can do is to repaint. Always carry a spray bottle of bleach during estimate and spray in hidden spot. Mark with blue painter tape so that your guys can check when they go to do job. It can take 15 - 30 min for the reaction.
