this is a question For all you guys that do these types of buildings. About how long would this take you and about what would you charge? this cleaning would include the columns, windows, cupolas, walls and door frames, no concrete just the building.
I am thinking $825.00, which for my area is good (google earth Fryeburge maine and you will see what i mean)
Thanks for your input Steven

Rock and Roll....agree w Russ and Lenny on the 350-400 price. Only thing I would charge more for (the 350-400 price) is if you have to clean the windows again after you have cleaned the building.

First off thanks for not slamming me. Correct I will not work as fast as you guys so if this takes me 8 hours by myself, one machine, at $50 an hour thats $400.00. minus gas, insurance, and other expenses that leaves me about $40 an hour or $320 for the day. thats better than no dollars for the day. then next year when i do it in 4 hours thats $100.00 an hour sounds ok to me. for a newbie does that sound about right to you guys, ?

Agree on 2 to 3 hours to complete with one person with no concrete and no gutters to scrub priced at $350. Squeegee the windows after rinsing. Around here though, $250 - $275 would be the price as we have a lot of competition.

I am in the most competitive market in the world and we would get at least $500.00 for a project like this. You have to make sure you are getting at least $200.00 per hour from the time you leave the office till you get back at the end of the day. Do you want to be an owner operator forever or do you have hopes of growing your company?

I wish I could sell like you do AC.

Will you be teaching some of your great selling skills at the Tampa event? If so, sign me up right now!

AC, on average can you leave your house set up, do the work, load back up and make it to the next job in 2 1/2 hours with one machine? I'm not disagreeing with you and would love to make $200 per hour and get $500 for this job, but it is not likely that I can drive to the job, do a good job, break down and get to the next one that fast. Do you do all your work like this with your soft wash system? Just curious? I would like to speed up my production.

Im with most guys here on the pricing and time. Try to bid too high and you will still be an owner but the only thing you will be operating is your remote control from your couch while someone else is making $$'$ This is providing that you still have a remote, cable and a house to put it all in.

One word of advice is not to post photos that show the location name like (the Norway Bank,Brownfield Maine) as if you do have competition lurking around here which I am sure you do they will be knocking on the door before you get there with your price and they will price it under you for sure. Just a quick word of advice, I have about 5 lurkers that visit the boards frequently but haven't ever posted

No slamming you here just reality.

The building is filthy and they must know it needs to be cleaned. they are not soliciting bids so this will be a cold call. for some reason i have a feeling that they would pay 500, its just a matter of if they want it done.
I have been here 8 years and never seen a bona fide pw company, the only pwashers are the painters and they only do thier own buildings.
if i learn how to sell the jobs i believe i can start something good here

If you can make it to the Tampa event the end of July, you will meet some of the best contractors, people and friends that there are in the business!

You will make great friends, have a chance to network with great people and learn things that people will not discuss on the boards.

Beg, borrrow or steal......(don't steal) do what you have to to get to the Tampa event, you will not regret it!
