if the UAMCC membership was Lower would you JOIN?

Maybe post a link to the UAMCC member benefits page a sticky here on PWI somewhere so people can find it easy, I have a hard time finding it myself when I look.

Has that page been updated recently?

Updates are On Going, Do you ever Use them?

I have mentioned to a few vendors that I am a member of the UAMCC but I always forget where the discount page is on the UAMCC site, we need a sticky here for it so everyone can see it and find it easily.

We are working on it to make it better, as well as we are adding three new by the end of the year

Price is reasonable in my opinion. We need better promotion of the benefits and make it easier to find and see what you get. There also needs to be more promotion on what the UAMCC has done for the contractors to help their business testimonials. We also need to promote the involvement of the members. when others see what the UAMCC is really all about they will be clamoring to sign up.

As I mentioned in my first post I do plan on joining the UAMCC. Not only do I plan on joining, I plan on contributing and hopefully I will have some ideas to make it better. I talked to Bill Booz on Saturday (about the Maryland event and thanks for talking to me on a Sat) and he asked me about the UAMCC. I told him I was indeed planning on joining but had some concerns. I told him several of the deals only have a 60 day time frame (ie seal n lock $100 gift card .. powerwashstore $50 gift card and there are more). I want to take advantage of these offers but I not going to think of buying anything to Feb-Mar at the earliest. Maybe you could do something about that (esp during the winter months). As far as the price goes I don't have a problem with it but just like our customers everyone likes a sale (ie $50 off off for 2 weeks .. ). I also do agree with Paul above the benefits page could be redone. Until you click on the sale prices link you thing you only get a couple of benefits. Have them all on the same page is what I would do.

I've always been a little weird.

I won't join anything I don't believe in no matter what the benefits are.

On the other hand I send donations all the time to orgs and causes I believe in that have no benefits at all just for the sake of advancing their cause.

I know most people aren't like me.

With that in mind, I've always thought there should be two levels of membership. One that gives access to the forum and a few discounts and other benefits that is inexpensive for new guys and those who just want to check out the org. And a regular full price membership that offers all the discounts and benefits, free training and even some mentoring programs.

I don't know if that would work or not because I don't know if the low price of entry would offset the lack of commitment that comes with a low price of entry.

I also don't know if it's a good idea to reduce the cost of membership at all under any circumstances. Doing so may appear to undervalue the full paying members.

I've always thought any help with laws or local authorities should be available to all in the industry whether they are members or not. Some will disagree with me on that.

Regardless of the price, If you think the UAMCC is doing the right thing and going in the right direction please become a member and help.

I like Tony's idea as well. Also, I believe its fine to keep the current benefits package at the current price. You could also have a basic or Lite membership at a reduced price for people who just want to help out the org or their way of saying thanks for the valuable info they have recieved from here. Give them a few benefits like a couple of useful form's, contracts or postcards templates and the use of a member's only section of a forum. You could also have a advanced or professional level membership with some new benefits. The benefits could be with some mentoring progams (like Tony said) or 1 on 1 consultations, or other incentives for people who want their business to grow and excell.

Level one www.uamccfree.com

This level has a lot of perks

Level two www.uamcc249.com

This level has the full enchilada

Believe it or not the UAmCc has had a free membership status since inception.

I like Tony idea also , except we have it to and extent.
