Pump recommendation?

I need to pick up a new soft wash pump. I have been using an air diaphragm flojet G57 that has worked well. I need to have a back up pump but I would prefer a pump with more vertical reach. I would like a pump that would get me to 40' without a problem. Anyone have any recommendation or experience with a pump like I'm looking for?

jared -it shoots about a 30-34ft stream use an 8ft ladder to achieve the 40 ft your lookin for.

I've been using the FatBoy with 200' of hose and had no problems what so ever with reaching high ridge-lines when shooting from the gutter-line. If you're looking to shoot those high ridge-lines from the ground though, I believe you'll need something more substantial ..especially if there is ANY breeze at all. Just be super sure to mind your "over-spray" down wind!!!! :yikes:

Mike, do you know what the pumps are? From another post I saw, they look like Flojets.

You can call Paul and he can tell you what the pumps are. He had them specially designed. I get 40-45 feet easily, depending on wind conditions, with the zero tip.

Micheal have you got yours on steriods my all-flo is about 25 feet with a 0040 at best give me some pointers on how you got that much distance.

mine is a 30 gallon 13hp it pushes around 27cfms at 90psi i have my air/water filter regulator set at 95psi. Also i use a 1/2 inch ball valve with a 2ft extension (1/2") into a 45. All that contributes to my distance numbers.

I used to shoot 40' @ 70+PSI with my fatboy and flo jet pentaflex battery pumps but after replacing the head seals too often went back to only shooting 30' @ 60 PSI. I have not blown a head seal since and save myself a lot of time in repairs.

I used to use a all-flo pump but now use it for a transfer & back up pump. I did not like the way it pulsates.

What size hose are you using and how many feet? If you're using a hose reel, are you pulling all the hose off?
