I use a home depot nail bag to hold my tips on one side and the other side holds both size orings and the oring tool to get em out and put em back in with.
I also carry tips that dont get used alot but have their place for certian things. The bag costs like a dollar and will really save time instead of going into your pocket chasing the soap tip and weight versus a tip holder on your gun.

A second hand tip I stole from Button. Quick couplers at the hose reel so you can disconnect if you need to chase water etc without rolling 300' hose up.

The ball valve is an incredible time saver.
Do you have to make a whip line to roll up? when we tried it we had trouble winding it up because after you put the qc's on it, it did not have enough clearance to roll up and if you did roll it up, it would not take all of it.
I would like to see a pic of the way you got yours set up.

Thats a good idea!!
I think my wife gets tired of pulling tips out of the dryer from leaving them in my pockets.:D

I've always thought about doing this, sounds like a great idea! That will keep them from getting lost as well.

When I first started out, I bought a couple whip hoses that had swivels on them already but the first time I used them, they leaked at the swivel and that is using cold water. One of these days I will take that leaky swivel off and give the whip hose another try.

I have a plug on the end of the hose and then have a (brass) swivel with coupler/plug on it connected to the end of the hose and after that the silver ball balve with the black handle also with plug/coupler and the ball valve is what connects to the gun or surface cleaner.

Bob over at PressureTek told me about that a few years ago and it really did make a huge differance on how I work and saved a lot of time. He also told me to go from 100' of pressure hose to the 150' or 200' of pressure hose and that also made a huge differance too.

Thanks again Bob.

I buy them 4 way jrod's from Bob. I cut them in half so you got 2 Quick connects I make one my soap and one my regular tip so I always have a soap tip handy. O-rings I put on them cheap carabiners from the dollar store and clip them to a belt loop.

Run the last couple feet of your chem injector hose through a section of 1/2 inch pvc pipe and put a fliter on the end. It will always be at the bottom of the bucket/chem tank. No more curling up and out of the chem.
Great tip Dustin. I started doing that last summer. I hate when it curls up and I still have 30 gals left. HEY!! Why did I stop pulling chems? Always happens when your in the back yard 250 ft away.

I also cut a notch out of the bottom of the pvc tube so that with the vibration of the trailer and hoses, the tube will not stick to the bottom and stop pulling chems or if there is some residue there, that can clog the tube also.

With the notch cut on the tube, it will always pull whether the tube is straight up and down or at an angle. Sometimes I will pull the filter and a couple inches of hose out of the tube bottome to make sure it lays flat on the bottom of the bucket to get everything.

I thought this thread would bust a seam,
Here is a money saver tip that could even save a trip to the doctors office.
Take one of you empty water bottles, cut the top and the bottom off and slice the side, Now put your hose in it and use it as a guide when you are reeling in you hose.
This way you will not have to use a rag or worry about a piece of steel slicing you hand open!

That's a good one Al! I'm going to use it. I usually keep one glove at the back of the truck for that, but now I don't have to look like Michael jackson while I'm reeling in.

You guys in Alabama are alright!:D :D :D

This will also keep you safe while climbing ladders on uneven surfaces.
I use a Ladder Giant and installed Adjustable Levelers so you can climb safely.
As you can see you have over 12" or more that you can easily adjust with one hand.
I don't get up on a ladders much but when I do, I know Its stable!
The second pic is a job I did today and had to use a ladder

Don't get any ideas of marketing it, already been done, cost ya about 15.00 Bucks.
Bought one left it on hose, lost it, But I drink plenty of water while I am working!

hey al

thanks for sharing the tips!

where do you get those adjustable levelers?

A ladder company here in Atlanta, maybe Ladder Inc or something like that, they bolt on to any ladder.
one of my customer showed me his and I had ladder giant and he had a cheap aluminum ladder and his was more stable that mine.
I bought one the next day!!
