I believe I got them here a couple years ago

www.laddersinc.com if that is not them it this one http://www.ladderdistributors.com/
I think they cost around 60 or 70 bucks or so,
You can unbolt them and put on another ladder if you have to.
They have differant ones the round pads are best and easiest to operate

When working on new concrete removing bubble gum if your using a ball valve and hot water and happen to have a by-pass back into your tank then choke off the flow of water with the ball valve to a light pressure. After a minuet or 2 the wand will start to blow alot wet steam and the gum lifts off the surface really fast and seems to melt away faster

I use a clamp from the H.D. or any store to hold the trigger on the S.C. just the kind that you gotta squeeeezze to open and put on trigger, then clean away, its easy to remove too.+ it will releave stress.

put a small ball valve on my chem injector line to be sure that no chems are gonna pass through chem side of the dual lance.

set up the plumbing on my rig like this: feeder hose reel to tank with a float valve that will shut when full, then 1.25" hose to a "T" that one side goes to the pump and the other side goes to the end of the trailer with a spiggot to wash off that chemical overspray you got on your face. or fill up the soap bucket/mix chem, and not have to walk to a water source.no time in an emergency to wash out eyes. etc mY.02

put a 1" steel brush on the end of my 50" wand to steam out the gum and keeps the heat in one spot + i can give it a lil scrub and its gone in like 3 sec.

I thought this thread would bust a seam,
Here is a money saver tip that could even save a trip to the doctors office.
Take one of you empty water bottles, cut the top and the bottom off and slice the side, Now put your hose in it and use it as a guide when you are reeling in you hose.
This way you will not have to use a rag or worry about a piece of steel slicing you hand open!

Great idea Al, Thanks.

I will have to try that out, I have had some wires fray on an older hose and I was wearing my leather gloves when rolling up the hose as usual
but the fray snagged my glove and tore into it some, I am sure I would have lost some skin and blood if I was not wearing gloves.

for you fleet wash guys to keep soap in and move it with you as you wash. grab a 35gal barrel cut in half, make a template of the curve on bottom of barrel, cut it on to a 2x10 make a cradle for it slap on 4 3"swiveled casterson it and presto a poor mans super bucket. helped me alot

You can get a tennis ball to hold the trigger of the guns open. If the gun were to fall, the tennis ball will pop out and stop the flow of water out of the gun.

Use an ice pick or scratch awl to poke a hole in the tennis ball and run a thick nylon string through the ball and tie it to the gun so if it pops out, you don't have to go chasing the ball.

I learned this from a guy at a convention back in 04'.

Hey Joe

you got a pic of this? ... sounds interesting.

Does it make a big difference in removing gum for you?

Do you find it quicker? or reduce the risk of wand damage?

thanks for sharing!

we use a tennis ball

the gum blaster is where i got the idea. it does work better because it concentrates the steam/hot water into 1 small area. but overall to me its quicker than a flat tip.

Here is my trick

I made this for places where there is no drainage or bad drainage that you just can't get that water out. We all have those places. I actually have to pump water over a 10 foot wall for one of my accounts and this is what I use. A quick connect, 2 1/2 in pipe, elbow, hose barb and a old water hose. It works like a charm. Cut a hole in the bottom of the hose where the hose barb ends. Hope this helps someone.
