My tip, don't drive like an idiot in your logoed truck.

another good tip.....instead of buying sharp pointed pics for changing o rings.
next time your in home depot, pick up a free paint can opener....works good on installing o rings without damaging them

Poor Drainage

I like to use duct tape to seal off the cracks under commercial doors. This stops the majority of water from entering the business, and keeps owners/managers very happy.:)

Throw away your brass couplers and start using Hansen stainless steel ones from EDI distributors. They last forever.

Mosmatic stainless swivels from EDI with 1 ft long hose leaders from Envirospec will keep your hose from winding. The leader will take the tension off of your couplers and make your hose last longer. IE the bend is in the leader and not the hose.

Marcus, do you have the swivel at the gun after the leader or between the leader and the hose?

I have my swivel between the hose and ball valve, the ball valve attaches to the wand, surface cleaner or whatever else I can find. hahahahaha

i carry the blue painter's tape in a dispenser and tape up key holes and outlets without covers. this can save you the trouble of going to the homeowner's house later that day because they cannot unlock the dead bolt lock. also, you never know what may be on that circuit breaker that trips because of water. i like to play it safe.

The best thing I've added to my units was a whole house water filter. An absulute must if your forced to use well water.Evan citywater, you'd be suprised how much sand and deposits you'll catch.I cut my pump repacking and valve change time to a 1/4th of what I was.Fine sand kills pumps.

I see a lot of people talk about rebuilding pumps . Maybe I am lucky, maybe I know to stay away from general, but I have never had to rebuild a pump. I have a half dozen pumps with thousands of hours that have never been opened. I have probably jinxed myself now.

Do you ever pull water from a Hydrant?

Do you ever pull water from a Hydrant?

Yes he does. Alot actually. I can vouche for that becuase he does it in my own backyard for about 2 months out of the year.
What does pulling water from a hydrant have to doi with anything out of curiosity?

I am not sure what Cleaner is referring to. Water flowing through the hydrant is the same water coming out of the spigot in your house. At least in this neck of the woods. Chad, at least I try to let you earn some of your local money back when I am there:D

Its all good. You gotta do what you gotta do. :D:D

Down here we have alot of sugar sand that will come out of the hydrants and into your tank. It's real fine sand that after time will wear on seals and valves.

I have been pretty lucky with pumps myself buy draining my tank and vacumming out the debris on the bottom.
