Some of you have asked what is the pressure at the wand when we achieve 300 degrees?
Though our rig can hit 300 degrees, we have only done it a few times. Its hard to explain, but, it's like the hose gets very light, I mean lighter than if there was no water in the line. The pressure drops from 4500 psi to 2700 psi, and the wand is so light, it almost feels as if it could fly upwards like a helium balloon floating to the ceiling in a room.
At that temperature, gum does not melt off the cement, it actually turns to a puff of smoke. There is little effort at best, to work the wand. A 6 GPM, the wand feels lighter than one of those cheap "Made in China" specials that they sell at Walmart for $79.00.
Though we can achieve the 300 degree mark, for safety reasons, we choose to keep our wands on the ground at 265 degrees or less.
