Sore elbow

What you are talking about is DMSO. It is only legal for use on horses, other wise it is available as a cleaning solution for human contact.

Google DMSO to get information on how and how much to use. You will taste and smell of garlic or sometimes onions.

One more thing, if you used to enhance your performance/physique with anabolic steroids, RUN don't walk to your nearest endocrinologist and get a full work up. The efffects on your liver, kidneys, testes, pituitary, adrenals, thyroid, pancreas, gall bladder et al last for years and none of the results are good. Did I scare you yet? I can quote stuff that will.

Cheers.

no, not scared. After the recent occurences of this weekend, I really don't care what happens to me. Anyone want to buy my business? all equipment, chems, parts, contracts, web page in process and power point presentation in process included.

well, my now ex took off on friday of last week with my daughter and left me high and dry. all accounts cleaned out, all business paperwork gone. Don't know how I will recoup, but, I am now very pissed and won't let her put me out of business. I will do what ever it takes at this point, for me, my biz and above all, my daugher.

sorry for your loss.
The finger/elbow thing-do you get a tenden in your middle arm that get's real sore, like a pulled muscel. It seem's to move around. Sometime's you cant even make a fist.
Remember when you were in school and would turn around to talk to someone and hit your funny bone on the corner of the deck or the chair. Well that's what mine feel's like everyday.
The doc gave me some muscel relaxer's but to no avail.
Im going to see a specialist next week.
Micheal-tell us the truth. Did that last job get you a lot of ''off the record'' very short term relationship's?

NO OFFENSE TO MICHAEL AT EXTREME BUT GETTING BACK TO THE SORE ELBOW.

If you experience pain, instead of looking to relieve or eliminate it; use it.

Determine the biomechanical functions that aggravate it and those that make it feel better.

Remember that all pain is your body telling you there is something wrong. Ignoring it or covering it up with dubious injections and ever stronger anagelsics will only make it much worse to the point of chronic pain and disability.

Find a qualified professional; chiropractor specialist in sport medicine, massage therapist with adequate training, physiatrist (MD specialist in injury rehabilitation), osteopath with sprots medicine training, physiotherapist with sport medicine training, certified athletic therapist/trainer.

Their knowledge and experience WILL help you to reduce your pain and function more fully without resorting to needless drugs that only mask the symptoms and do not clear them up.

Find and treat the cause. Often with a little bit of work on your part the problem can reduce to the point of being bearable or better.

You all look to eliminate a problem for your customers (dirt). You all hate guys that just cover up the problem (low-ball, poor quality, fly-by-nighters). Why settle for the same in your own health and welfare?

As I stated previously there are simple, effective, natural things you can do the reduce or eliminate the problem. Become professional in your health care as well as your business.

Again, props to Michael Extreme but the original thread was asking for help with a common problem in the industry that once properly assesed and treated should not stay that way.

Hope this helps? Cheers.

I knew it was a joke and didn't take any offense to it.
Ron, if you want to know about my escapades while in that business and while single, give me a call, I am sure I can make you blush, or maybe even change professions, lol.

Hey Scott!

Got the finger issue also. Have been having trouble for about 2 months now. If I make a fist and then open my hand, my middle finger will stay clinched. I have to bend it back to the straight position with my other hand. This last about 24 hours after a long day. After the 24 hours, my finger is sore and sometimes feels like it has a bone bruise. I take 800-1000 mg of ibuprofen (hand and back) to let the muscles chill for a bit.

I just bought some velcro straps from HD and cut them into 5 inch pieces. I place them on the handles of my surface cleaner and wand. I tried using ball valves, but they keep on siezing on me. The velcro is cheap and easy to use. I have also purchased some padded gloves that seem to be helping.

Try the velcor and gloves. I feel your pain!

Ron

Ron FHC, I am not a physician but I do have a lot of experience. It sounds, without making a complete physical assessment, that you may possibly be sufferring from something as mild as flexor tendonitis leading to inflammation causing the result as described. Or it could be something known as Dupuytren's Contracture which is often a hereditary condition. (See http://www.merck.com/pubs/mmanual/section5/chapter61/61a.htm )

In either case get a complete physical assessment by an Occupational Therapist (they specialize in conditions of the upper limb) or other related specialist in extremity conditions like an osteopath or orthopaedic specialist or competent massage therapist.

Treating the symptoms without knowing the cause is putting more sealant over a rotting deck. Fix the underlying structure before you have serious problems.

Hope this helps? Cheers.

Ron,

The "finger issue" you refer to is called "Trigger Finger". I have had it in 2 fingers on my right hand for a few years now and finally saw a specialist this summer. I was given cortisone injections into both tendons. They still "catch", but without pain.

The only solution (?) is an operation to enlarge the sheath that the tendon moves through.

That kind of operation is usually expensive:):):):):) Talk to your doc, you have what is called tendonitis, an inflammed tendon. Releif, stop doing the pw thing for a week or two, which is impossible, so go ask for a anti inflammatory, Vioxx, or quick relief cortizone injection
