We get business a number of ways.
Number one would be because we have our own singles group www.brandonsingles.com
We have 943 members who all know what we do.
These members have friends all over, and we constantly get referred.
Number two would be from our many past customers.
Number three would be from cold calling while we out are doing a job
Number 4 would be from chamber of commerce members, we won business of the year at our local chamber of commerce.
Number 5 would be from our ads/website/door hangers in about equal amounts.

It's called a dollar bill size ad (not cheap). I took out churches and restaurants and replaced them with store fronts and hotels since iI posted this.

I have the dollar bill size in one book and a 1/4 page in another. My ad doesnt look as good as that thou. good luck with it

That's exactly what I have. KBK did that one for a very good price. Guys, I recommend him highly, his rates are good and he does good, quick work if you have a deadline to meet.

I do door hangars, mail outs ,Yellow pages in 2 books but this year I cut the ads back to one book but larger ad.

WORD OF MOUTH... In Jackson I Clean one Japanese Restaurant and boom 3 or 4 more call... I clean one steakhouse and more call... It is like everyone knows everyone else ...as far as restaurants in Jackson, MS go.. We also mail out flyers But out of about 300 flyers I think we get about 3 or 4 calls ... However 3 or 4 customers usually turns into 10 or 15 because people talk... I am not afraid to say it we do a damn good job.... and we make our customers happy and they always give us refferals...

Seems like a thread from the past, but I'll add my 2 cents. Over the years, we've done Yellow Pages, Door hangers, Ads in local newspapsers. The best bang for the buck so far has been the Door Hangers. I got full color and 10,000 of them for something around $300.00 The first job I got from a door hanger was after the first 200 I put out, and it was a $4,500 job!! I have since cancelled my Yellow Pages ad, since it was running so much money, and I would only get maybe 5 calls a year from price shoppers looking for low-bid (Which we are not, and will NOT sacrifice our service for price) The ad in the local newspaper used to run every week and we got around 20 calls a week from it for $100/week. Now I cancelled that too. I've been so busy with word of mouth and return customers, plus the recent signing of 2 5-year contracts with property management companies that there's no need to, until I really want to expand my business. I'm just comfortable where I'm at right now. I'm in the midst of attempting to get mugs and pens for other Property Management Companies and commercial customers right now, as it has been good work for us, and I would like to expand that phase of the business.

So my question here would be how did you advertise to get those property managment companies since door hangers seem to be only good for Residential work.

My best calls come from door hangers, yard signs, and lettering on my truck. Yellow Pages wasn't too hot this year. Also, I advertise in Thrifty Nickel and Craig's List, and my website.

What about internet pages??

What type of response do you roof - "Bleach-Boys" get from web pages??? Lots of sales? Do you do more through direct contact or newspapers? or what???
