What was your first big job in pressure washing.

Our was one of the first jobs we did in 2002, it was a golf course club house with roof cleaning as well. Cleaned 80k sq of buildings, some nasty peaks and real high crap. I used 500 gallons of LOVE, and wow, did I really not know what I was doing, but time sure did change that for me, and 100,00 square foot of paver's and concrete, I did this with 1 machine that was 4000@4gpm a small surface cleaner, some pump up sprayers, and my ex wife, we worked day and night on it, and I assure we sure weren't that experienced. And the oddest thing about this was that he entire place was torn down just 2 months later.

12, six unit apartment buildings. 4 two story, 8 single story, vinyl and brick. Been in business less than a year and had no clue what I was doing. It took me over a week from ladders and standing on porch roofs. It would only take two days now, all from the ground. I'm still by myself and don't move too fast.

An entire subdivision roof cleaning at the Greens in Bloomingdale. 250 3000.00 sq ft homes done for 450 dollars each, very cheap for back then. Normal price back then for a single roof that size was 550.00. I gave them 100.00 off per roof, in return for cleaning all the roofs.

Our first big job started in 2001 and we are still working it every week. I drove by a tourist/shopping area with a small trailer and a cold machine. Magnetic signs on the truck. I got a call to clean the sidewalks. We have been doing a weekly cleaning there ever since

our largest was a golf course community that we washed all the houses all the condos all the sidewalks all the cart paths and all the common areas, over 600 homes and 200 large condos. we lost that to the economy last year. our largest flatwork at one time was a parking garage over 300,000 sq ft. we are trying to rebook a garage over 1 million sq ft right now that we had booked at the beginning of the year but got pulled because of the economy. the most flatwork weve done in a day is a little over 100,000 sq ft about three years ago. the first big paycheck(over 5 grand) was washing the sidewalks in a small community about 15 years ago. that took us about a week, we could go in that same community today and be done in one day.

They were finishing up on one of the newer sections of this Manufactured Home Community. A huge Golfing and Boating Resort where my wife worked. Keep in mind that these are not Mobile Homes. They are 3 and 4 section homes with full size driveways, sidewalks etc...Aprox 2300-3000sq ft a piece. Because of all of the residents complaining about all of the construction dirt blowing around and getting on their homes the Leasing company decided to offer a one time FREE cleaning to the residents.

I still remember the day my wife came home and said, " They want you to wash the houses in the new section". I asked her which ones and she said,,,,,," All Of them". 1280 units....

Anyway, to make a long story short, a price was agreed on and we washed every unit in the community at an average of 6-7 per day for the next 6 or so months. We also began working on a newer section of over 2600 homes until the housing market nose dived and they stopped all and any new construction. We still have many of the residents there who still call us at least once a year to wash their homes and when they do we usually do a bunch in one day but it has slowed down. Some have passed away and some have moved and some have chosen to use a few cheaper priced Pressure Washing contractors who either live nearby or actually in the community. I actually miss being in there working the way we used to be.

The concrete at the airport. A little over a quarter million sq. Ft. $17k. Thiswasnot parking garages but the terminal fronts. They had someone else doing them, and they wanted to see how good they could be. The contracted vendor ended up abandoning the weekly cleaning of these areas and reneged on the contract. Being the city they put it out for bid. The winning bid was about 1.25 cents a square foot, and looks worse thn that, in my opinion. I made good money on it the time I washed it, though. Everyone involved had a nice payday that time.

My first over $5k was a office community center for a senior citizen neighborhood. about 14k sqft of roof if I remember correctly. My first over $10k was condos we did last year. And my first over $25k should be starting any time now. 21 apartment buildings and 13 garages.
