That is just pathetic!
Just another thing wrong with this great nation.
Part of the problem I think is these stupid "reality shows" like the stupid kardashians. Young people seeing that crap on tv might think that people are really like that, get paid for doing nothing and not have to work hard in life, just like a lot of those stupid videos you see where people make it look like everyone can make a song and then have cars, houses, gold, women in bikinis, etc...... too many of the children are probably growing up thinking that is how life really is.
They should show more of how the tv stars, athletic stars, and music singers blew all their money on that nonsense and how they are broke and trying to make it in life.
I think the biggest part of the problem is the parents not raising the kids with good values, teaching the value of money, doing chores, getting punished when bad, talking about problems and if that does not work then time for the spankings or other type of punishment like most of us went through growing up.
Way too much of the "politically correct" nonsense is also a part of how it is ruining childhood games, events and other things that help kids grow, learn about the past and valuable life lessons.
All of this and a part of the economy getting worse and too much pride (keeping a lot of people from working) is a huge part of the problem. You can look in just about any city and there are usually a lot of jobs available but too many people are too proud or lazy to get to work. Everyone wants the high paying job but don't have the right skills, experience or qualifications for those jobs. Even here locally there are a lot of jobs but you always hear people saying how there are not any jobs but if you look in the paper, online or even the bandit signs on telephone poles, there are jobs out there if you really want to work.
I had to buy some diesel for the pickup truck yesterday while it was raining but the pay-at-the-pump receipt would not print out so I had to go inside the store to get the receipt.
I stood behind this homeless guy that I always see standing at the corner with a sign that has written on it "Will work for food" or sometimes has another sign that reads "Homeless, anything will help".
He was asking the cashier to exchange $1.00 bills for larger bills as his pockets were getting too full and he did not want to lose any money. He took out a huge roll of dollar bills, probably at least 150 or more dollar bills but then took out a roll of $20.00 bills about as big around as a thin water bottle, probably close to a thousand dollars more or less. What a racket! Just stand at the corner with a sign and play on the goodness of people. Wow.
The cashier told him he would but he needed to help other customers first and the guy started complaining. I got my receipt and left. I just can't believe people sometimes.
