Pump and hose vibrating. Can't find problem.

I would try to stick with a 6-sided socket, you can get them at Sears and most auto parts stores, the 12-sided socket can strip out those caps easily as sometimes they are stuck on there.

Got it with a 12 sided. that's all they had. Was easy enough, but still not the problem.

Ralph, does the unloader bypass to a tank or to the pump inlet?

If it's the one you just got from me, I'll get another out tomorrow.

Should I take it apart and look for debris or something in it first. It vibrates after a while at certain times and it actually goes away when I switch to an injector. Then it comes back for a bit then goes away. I have been running it for hours and hours, and if it was the pump wouldn't it have crashed by now? I opened up the valves and they looked like new.

It still sounds like air intrusion. When a pump has a problem, it doesn't come and go...neither should an unloader.

I had a high psi ball valve after the burner where I didn't use it much. The ball and handle separated which meant the opening for the water to get through fluctuated when ever high pressure was introduced into the system. I went through unloaders because it would come and go depending on how the ball seated that day when the pressure washer would start. One out of 5 times at most I would have issues, that one time would drive me crazy though. When I figured out it was the ball valve and removed it all my problems went away, its why I ask because I over looked the issue and went through the whole supply and unloader system first.

Just giving you things to work with, hopefully you figure it out.

Thanks Benjamin. I tested it with a 50 foot hose and no ball valves. It was actually worse. I think I will replace the whole plumbing system on the weekend and see what happens I'm going to use a straight 1" hose and a brass barb and see if that clears it up. It is only noticeable when I open up the ball valve all the way or use a low pressure nozzle.
