How many of you are nervous when you walk in the door to sell your service?
I know I am. Ive tried rehearsing my sells pitch and I walk in and there is the receptionist. Now what? Well you dont want to sell your service to her she doesn't have any authority to do so. Ive learned that when I get out of the car and walk into a place be ready for anything. They could be busy then what do you say? Is there something you can do to help? What can you say that doesnt take there time but tells them wow this person is so patient as soon as I get done with this Im gonna take my time and go talk with them. Are they on the phone? If they are dont walk up to the desk while there on it sit down wait untill there done then when she approaches then talk with her. I try to be as calm as I can be when i go into a place If you go in there all nervous then your gonna say something that you think to yourself oh what a dork!
Im not a pro at selling my service, but this I do know because I would be really nervous. I try to let them talk as much as possible. Also if there card is there at the front on the receptionist's desk grab it!! Now you have their email maybe even their extension.
