Lets Talk Vac surface cleaner..

Just get whatever type of twist lock connector you need take off the outer shroud, plug it in, start generator take multi tester and you will find the two 120 volt leads on it with one neutral. My 10k generator has one 50 amp and one 75 amp 220 volt plugs, I split one plug into two 120 volt 50 amp circuits.

If I do that, I will need one neutral for each outlet, can I split the neutral into 2 so each outlet or set of outlets would have a neutral?

Thanks.

Yep, split the neutrals, and each hot gives the 120 volts..
use 12 guage wire, and GFI outlets as a rule.
and absolutely double-check voltages..
you ALL should have voltmeters by now. eh?

Thanks for the help guys.

I don't have the Sirocco vacuum system yet but I do have the surface cleaner, sand trap and pump out drum.

I know someone that used Jerry's vacuum surface cleaner with a big shop vac and it did ok, there was no video but I trust him, he is a good friend. This was after his main vacuum system went down and he still had to finish the job.

Is that system going to be something for 1 vacuum surface cleaner or for multiple or a huge multiple vacuum surface cleaner deck?

Jerry is about the most knowledgeable on the subject of vacuum surface cleaners out there.

I hope we can see pictures of this great system once it is built.

Thats what I dream about, but no. It is just a modest system that should handle a couple of vacuum surface cleaners at a time.

Just what I wanted to hear. It was other like comments on these forums that gave that confidence to contact Jerry in the first place. I will see how this first import goes but I am thinking that I may import all my gear from the States in the future. You Guys really have some great pressure washing gear to play with.

Oh well, I will just have to console myself that I live only a 30 min boat ride away from the Great Barrier Reef.

Cheers

I am sure you will enjoy the system.

If it has not shipped yet, you might get some extra supplies to add to the shipment before it gets on the boat.

Things like a few extra sets of nozzles, extra gun, filter (if you use one on the surface cleaner like in the video), pressure hoses, plugs, couplers, swivel rebuild kit and anything else that Jerry recommends as it will take a while to get to you if you don't have a local supplier.

That is a nice video of a vacuum recovery surface cleaner, those are great for interior floor cleaning, warehouse floor cleaning, commercial kitchen floor cleaning and just saving time on large areas of concrete with not needing to rinse on those areas since the vacuum recovery surface cleaner picks up the dirty water as you go.
