Yea, after having so many problems with the chemical bandit, we switched to the Fatboy as a temporary fix, and have pretty much decided to stick with only the fatboy. I dont know if you've seen some of the jobs we've done, but we've done some very large jobs, 8000-13000 sqft residential homes, w/ high pitches hotels, etc and have not had 1 issue with distance or speed. It rvials the performace of the old bandit, and is by dar the best 12v on the market.
You may have an issue with the batterys dying, but we hardwired our battery directly into out trailer harness, so when the trailer is connected to the truck, it charges the battery.
1 WARNING: You can not adjust the flow with a gun or ball valve. It either has to be on or off. No halfway on for less flow. reason being is it works with a relay switch and when its half way on, it turns itself on and off very quickly and burns it up. We went through 5-6 switches before we figured out what the problem was. I would get some ectra relay switches just in case though. Not the ones from radio shack either, they've got to be heavy duty ones like out of a car for the windows or horn.
